Welcome to Forest Hill Dance!

Forest Hill Dance serves the needs of dancers ages 3 and up by providing classes with an emphasis on developing talent at both the recreational and pre-professional level and encouraging artistry and creativity in all students. We strive to provide students with an opportunity to study with professional instructors at a cost all families can afford. Forest Hill Dance offers classes from September-May and intensive summer classes in July. Our dancers perform in a recital at the conclusion of our dance season. Forest Hill Dance supports the performing arts in Harford County.

Classes are held at:   Forest Hill/Hickory Activities Center    2213 Commerce Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050

Email will be checked Monday-Thursday. If you email Friday-Sunday it will be replied to on the next business day unless it is a holiday. Thank you!

Forest Hill Dance will be finalizing the 2019-2020 season calendar prior to the start of the dance season. The 2019-2020 dance season will start on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. The calendar and coordinating dates will be updated as needed throughout the dance season.
Observation Week: All families (guardians, siblings, grandparents, etc.) are invited into our studios to observe their dancers. Please be respectful as we try to run our classes as if no one was watching! You may take photos of your dancer(s). Please remove your shoes prior to entering the studios. We will have a few chairs set up. If there are not enough chairs you can make yourself comfortable on the studio floor. Please remember that no food and drink areallowed in our studios.
Costume Measurements: 4-8PM - ALL DANCERS - MANDATORY - Forest Hill Activities Center. Have your dancer wear their ballet attire for measurements. We would like the dancers in high school to arrive as early as possible for measurements as the elementary schools do not get out until 3:30-3:45pm. If you cannot make this measurement date you will responsible for measuring your dancer yourself and will take the responsibility to do any necessary alternations if your dancer's costume(s) do not fit properly. You will need to contact our Costume Coordinator as soon as possible if you anticipate you will miss this date. We will be placing our costume orders the first week in December. You will receive a Costume Policy by email and you can find the Costume Policy in the Introduction to Forest Hill Dance. Once you have been measured for a costume you are responsible for paying for that costume - no exceptions. (Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet dancers do not need to attend.)
Moms on the Move: Creative Movement through Level 4 - Female parent/guardians are invited to participate in Ballet class with their dancer(s). Activewear and socks or Ballet slippers are required.  Street shoes must be removed prior to entering the studio.
Valentine's Dance: Creative Movement through Level 4 - Male parent/guardians are invited to participate in Ballet class with their dancer(s). Activewear and socks or Ballet slippers are required.  Street shoes must be removed prior to entering the studio.
